Description of Project :

The Project envisages the construction of a 150 MW Hydropower Scheme. Project components include the following;

• 36.5 m high Concrete Dam
• 12.5 km of Tunnels
• Underground Power House
• Project related infrastructure including roads, engineers’ camps and water supply and sanitation facilities.

Description of Services Provided:

CECB is providing local counterpart staff to the lead consultant in the fields of Dam, Tunnel and Power House Engineering. The staff to be provided covers the following engineering disciplines; .Geological and Geotechnical Engineering .Structural & Building Services .Electromechanical Services CECB project office and site staff’s principal responsibilities lie in assisting the Lead Consultant in project management, construction supervision, progress monitoring, material approvals, approvals of contractor’s payment certifications and the inspections to be carried out during the maintenance period.
